Terms of Service

1. Welcome to DomainLiq
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DomainLiq ("Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), a domain marketplace platform. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
DomainLiq is a marketplace platform that:
- Allows sellers to list domains for sale
- Provides buyers with a browsing and search interface
- Processes payments through Stripe (credit cards), USDC (cryptocurrency), and PayPal (direct)
- Holds funds securely in escrow until domain transfer is confirmed (Stripe/USDC only)
- Facilitates domain verification and ownership display
3. Platform Fees

Stripe payment processing fees (~2.9% + $0.30) are separate and deducted from the final payout amount.
USDC Cryptocurrency Payments
Flat 5% Platform Fee for all USDC payments, regardless of domain price.
- Minimum domain price for USDC: $5
- Domain must be verified to accept USDC
- Polygon network gas fees (typically <$0.01) are paid by the buyer
4. Payment Processing
Credit Card Payments
Card payments are processed through Stripe. By using our Service:
- Buyer payments are held securely until transfer is confirmed
- Sellers must connect a Stripe account to receive card payments
- Payouts are processed to seller's Stripe account after buyer confirmation
- If buyer doesn't confirm within 7 days, funds auto-release to seller
USDC Cryptocurrency Payments
USDC payments are processed on the Polygon blockchain network. By using our Service:
- Buyer sends USDC to DomainLiq's escrow wallet on Polygon
- Sellers must provide a valid Polygon wallet address to receive USDC
- USDC is held in escrow until buyer confirms domain receipt
- Upon confirmation, USDC (minus 5% fee) is sent to seller's wallet
- If buyer doesn't confirm within 7 days, USDC auto-releases to seller
- Important: We only accept USDC on the Polygon network; USDC sent on other networks cannot be recovered
PayPal Direct Payments
PayPal payments are direct transactions between buyer and seller. By using PayPal:
- DomainLiq is not involved in the payment transaction
- DomainLiq does not hold PayPal payments in escrow
- Payment goes directly to the seller's PayPal account
- DomainLiq cannot issue refunds or mediate PayPal disputes
- Buyers must handle any disputes through PayPal's buyer protection program
- Sellers must manually mark domains as "sold" after PayPal sales
- PayPal is only available for verified domains
5. Seller Obligations
- You must own or be authorized to sell listed domains
- You must provide the Authorization Code within 48 hours of receiving payment
- You must ensure the domain is unlocked and ready for transfer
- You are responsible for accurate listing information
- Failure to provide a valid Authorization Code within 48 hours results in full refund/return to buyer
- For USDC: You are responsible for providing a correct Polygon wallet address
- For USDC: We are not liable for USDC sent to an incorrect address you provided
- For PayPal: You are responsible for delivering the domain after receiving payment
- For PayPal: You must manually mark domains as "sold" after a PayPal sale
6. Buyer Obligations
- Confirm receipt of domain promptly after transfer completes
- If you don't confirm within 7 days, funds are auto-released to seller
- Report issues with the Authorization Code immediately via support
- Do not complete transactions outside of the DomainLiq payment system
- For USDC: Send USDC only on the Polygon network
- For USDC: Send the exact amount shown in checkout; overpayments may not be refundable
- For USDC: We are not liable for USDC sent on wrong networks
- For PayPal: You must accept the terms before proceeding with payment
- For PayPal: DomainLiq cannot help with PayPal payment disputes
7. Refund Policy
Card Payments (Stripe)
- Seller doesn't provide Auth Code in 48 hours: Full refund to buyer
- Authorization Code is invalid, fake, or expired: Full refund after investigation
- Buyer doesn't confirm in 7 days: No refund (funds release to seller)
- Successful transfer completed: No refund
USDC Payments (Crypto)
- Seller doesn't provide Auth Code in 48 hours: USDC returned to buyer's wallet
- Authorization Code is invalid, fake, or expired: USDC returned after investigation
- Buyer doesn't confirm in 7 days: No refund (USDC releases to seller)
- USDC sent on wrong network: Not recoverable, no refund
- Incorrect amount sent: May result in transaction failure or loss of funds
8. Cryptocurrency Risks
By using USDC payments, you acknowledge and accept:
- Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain
- We cannot recover funds sent to incorrect addresses or wrong networks
- Blockchain network congestion may delay transaction confirmation
- You are solely responsible for securing your cryptocurrency wallet
- USDC value is expected to remain at $1, but we do not guarantee this
- Regulatory changes may affect the availability of USDC payments
9. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are handled on a case-by-case basis:
- Contact support at support@domainliq.com
- Or use the Messages feature on your dashboard to contact admin
- Provide transaction details and evidence of the issue
- We will investigate and resolve within 5 business days
- For USDC: Include the transaction hash (TX hash) for faster resolution
10. Prohibited Activities
- Listing domains you don't own or have authority to sell
- Providing false ownership information
- Fraudulent activities or scams
- Harassment of other users
- Requesting payment outside of DomainLiq (direct wallet transfers, etc.)
- Using invalid or fake Authorization Codes
- Spam or unsolicited messages
- Money laundering or other illicit financial activities
11. Domain Verification
Domain verification (TXT, A, or NS record) demonstrates DNS control only. It does not guarantee legal ownership or freedom from trademark issues. Buyers should conduct their own due diligence. Domain verification is required to accept USDC payments.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- DomainLiq is provided "AS IS" without warranties
- We are not liable for third-party actions or domain value disputes
- We are not liable for domain transfer failures outside our control
- We are not liable for cryptocurrency losses due to user error, wrong networks, or incorrect addresses
- We are not liable for changes in USDC value or availability
- Our liability is limited to the platform fees collected
13. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users may delete their accounts at any time through Settings.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
