- We collect only what's necessary for the platform to function
- You control your data and can delete it at any time
1. Information We Collect
Account Information:
- Email address (for authentication)
- Username/subdomain (for your public profile)
- Password (securely hashed, we never see your actual password)
- Display name (optional)
Contact Information (Optional):
- Preferred contact method (email, X/Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Telegram)
- Contact handles only (we never access your messages)
Domain Listings & Verification:
- Domain names you list
- Prices you set
- Domain descriptions (optional)
- Domain status (available/sold)
- DNS verification records (TXT, A, or NS records accessed publicly to verify ownership)
Payment Information (Card Payments):
- Buyer email address (for order confirmation)
- Billing address (collected by Stripe)
- Payment method details (processed by Stripe, we don't store card numbers)
- Transaction history (order amounts, dates, status)
- Seller payout information (stored by Stripe Connect)
Cryptocurrency Payment Information (USDC):
- Seller wallet address: Your Polygon wallet address for receiving USDC payouts
- Buyer email: Email address provided during USDC checkout
- Transaction hashes: Blockchain transaction IDs for payment verification
- Transaction amounts: USDC amounts sent and received
Note: Cryptocurrency transactions are recorded on the public Polygon blockchain. Transaction hashes and wallet addresses are publicly visible on blockchain explorers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information ONLY to:
- Authenticate your account
- Display your public domain listings
- Enable buyers to contact you through your preferred method
- Process payments (card and cryptocurrency)
- Verify USDC payments on the Polygon blockchain
- Send USDC payouts to your wallet
- Improve platform functionality
- Send essential service notifications (security alerts, policy changes)
3. What We DO NOT Do
- We DO NOT sell your information to anyone
- We DO NOT share your data with advertisers
- We DO NOT send marketing emails (unless you opt-in)
- We DO NOT track you across other websites
- We DO NOT access your messages with buyers/sellers
- We DO NOT have access to your cryptocurrency wallet private keys
- We DO NOT monitor your on-chain activity outside of our platform
4. Information Sharing
Your information is shared in these limited ways:
- Public Profile: Your username, display name, and domain listings are publicly visible
- Contact Information: Your chosen contact method is shown to interested buyers
- Escrow Transactions: When you initiate a "Buy with Escrow" transaction, your email is shared with Escrow.com and the other party to facilitate the sale
- Blockchain Data: USDC transaction hashes and wallet addresses are publicly visible on the Polygon blockchain
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law
5. Cookies
We use minimal cookies for:
- Keeping you logged in
- Remembering your preferences
- Understanding if you've accepted our terms
We DO NOT use tracking cookies. We DO NOT use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data Security
We protect your data through:

- Secure password hashing (bcrypt)

- Limited data retention
- Secure escrow wallet management for USDC funds
7. Your Rights

- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your domain listings
- Opt-out of non-essential communications
- Remove your wallet address from your account
Note: Deleting your account does not remove blockchain transaction records, as these are permanently stored on the public Polygon blockchain.
8. Children's Privacy
DomainLiq is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Third-Party Services
We share data with these services:
- Stripe: Payment processing for card payments - they receive buyer email, billing address, and payment details
- Polygon Network: USDC payments are processed on the Polygon blockchain - transaction data is publicly visible
- Resend: Email delivery - they receive email addresses to send transactional emails
- Escrow.com: When you use "Buy with Escrow", your email is shared to facilitate the transaction
When you contact sellers via X, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or Telegram, their privacy policies apply.
10. Blockchain Data Permanence
Important: When you use USDC payments, transaction data is recorded on the public Polygon blockchain. This includes your wallet address and transaction amounts. Blockchain data is permanent and cannot be deleted or modified. This is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a choice made by DomainLiq.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or platform notice.
